John Skelley, Jr., of Lumberport, went to his heavenly home on May 31, 2021. He was born, May 16, 1954, a son of the late John and Hazel Quinn Skelley. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Rhonda Swiger Skelley, his two brothers, Joe and Tom Skelley.

He was retired from the Boilermakers Union Local 667 where he worked for many years on power plants throughout the state.
John is survived by his two children, Anna Lucas, of Clarksburg, Michael Skelley and his companion Brittany Drummond, of Lumberport; his grandchildren, Madison Lucas, of Buckhannon, Mason Shreves, of Clarksburg, and Avery, Aiden, and Adalynn Skelley, all of Lumberport.
He enjoyed his retirement by tinkering around his house and hanging on the porch with his friends.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 4-8pm, Friday where funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, June 5, with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating. Interment will be in the Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery.
