David Lee Wright, 65, of Lumberport, went to be with the Lord at 1:53pm, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Fairmont, November 19, 1955, a son of the late Robert Eugene and Enid Jeannine Long Wright. He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Stella Louise Stire Wright, on August 30, 2001. On February 28, 2003, he married Linda M. Hedrick Wright who survives.

Also surviving are his children: David Lee Wright, Jr. and his wife Dixie, Wallace, Tony J. Arcuri, Lumberport, Autumn Arcuri Lockhart and her companion Shawn Newbrough, Lumberport; his grandchildren: Dusti Heavener and her husband Jason, Wiley Ford, WV, Dalton M. Gould, Clarksburg, Zachary Lockhart, Lumberport, Dominik Wright, Wallace, Olivia Arcuri, James Perry, Tyler Arcuri, Aaliyah Perry and Austin Arcuri, all of Lumberport; one great- granddaughter, Audrina Heavener. Dave also leaves behind four siblings: Robert Wright and his wife Lois, Lumberport, Brenda Moore and her husband Danny, Lumberport, Tammy Mackey and her husband Kenneth, Saltwell, Timothy Wright and his wife Tomma, Shinnston; a son-in-law, Robert Gould; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Molly.
David was also preceded in death by his daughter Crystal Wright Gould.
Dave was a mechanic and owned his own business for several years. He was generous person who always gave of his time, day or night, to help others. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. Dave enjoyed hunting, riding his four-wheeler and motorcycle and working on cars. He loved music, especially country and Elvis, watching Gunsmoke and other westerns. Dave had a great loyalty to his family and adored his grandchildren. He will be missed by many family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 4-8pm, Tuesday, where funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, April 28, with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating. Interment will be in the Lions Club Cemetery in Lumberport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family at the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
