Gerald Lynn “Butch” Robey, 70, of Clarksburg passed away on February 5, 2021 at the VA Healthcare in Pittsburgh. He was born September 2, 1950 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Bernard Lewis and Ella Pearl Swiger Robey.
He is survived by his daughter, Deanna Lynn Robey of Clarksburg; his former wife, Linda Gibson Robey of Clarksburg; his brother, Duane “Sonny” Robey and his wife Barbara of Dola; his sister, Barbara Summerville and her husband Jimmy of West Milford; his aunt, Rhea Swiger Cline of Dola; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his faithful companion and beloved dog, Pepper.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Robey.
He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Butch was a hard and honest worker and was always willing to help those in need whether they asked for help or not. Butch loved his time caring for his horses. He lived his faith.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation services were provided by Perine Funeral Home. A private family service will be held.
