Jason McNeil Hess

Jason McNeil Hess, 39, of Clarksburg, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born in Clarksburg on September 23, 1981, a son of Veldia M. Day Hess, of Reynoldsville and the late Charles E. Hess.
Also surviving are two children, Logan Xavier Hess, Hope Lynn Hess and their mother, Chassidy Hess; his siblings, Marsha Gamble, Reynoldsville, Charles Hess, Jr. and his wife Amber, Gregory’s Run, Jeff Hess and his wife Michelle, Clarksburg; his nieces and nephews, Lena Gamble, Carrie Cox and her husband Jeffrey, Christopher Gibbs, and Nicholas Hess; his great-nieces and nephews, Lloyd Stevens, Mason Cox, and Sarah Cox.
Jason was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 2000. He was employed as a caregiver for REM Community Option and was a member of the Reynoldsville Baptist Church. Jason had a love for animals and lived his life for his family. Jason will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Wednesday where funeral services will be held at 1pm, Thursday, January 14, with Pastor Jon Hayes officiating. Interment will be in the Lions Club Cemetery in Lumberport.
