Robert Joseph Mick, 82, of Lumberport, went to be with the Lord at 10:55pm, Friday, September 4, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Lumberport, December 12, 1937, a son of the late Clyde H. and Mina L. Voyles Mick. On April 8, 1958 he married, Frances Ann Quinn Mick who survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Sharrell Dunn and her husband Lonnie, Salem, Mary Jo Mick, Bridgeport, Jean Mick, Clarksburg, Dawn Mick, Clarksburg, and Vickie Beck and her husband Todd, Lumberport; 11 grandchildren, Maranda Sendling, Christina Dunn, R.J. Hedrick, Patrick Dunn, Jacklyn Dixon, Amanda Haught, Courtney Pokrzywa, Mariah Whiteman, Dustin Hamrick, Kaitlyn “Kate” Beck and Emily Beck; 27 great-grandchildren, one great-grandson expected soon; and one sister Jean Mick Warner, Bridgeport.
Robert was a miner operator having worked in the Robinson Run and Martinka Mines, from which he retired. He was a veteran, serving with the United States Army from 1956-1959. He was a devoted family man who had a passion for building things. There was nothing he couldn’t build. He also enjoyed camping and watching wrestling and westerns.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation services were provided and no public services will be held. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com.
