Thomas “Tommy” James Gallaher, 67, of Lumberport, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at West Virginia University Hospital Ruby Memorial in Morgantown. He was born in Clarksburg, May 24, 1952, a son of the late Lloyd and Lois Gallaher Keener and the late Archie and Agnes Gallaher, his grandparents who adopted and raised him.

He is survived by two daughters, Bobbi Jo Gallaher Cole and her husband Robert, Lumberport, Jessica Gallaher and her companion Steven Westfall, Lumberport; two grandchildren, Hunter Cole McGary, Lumberport, and Jaycee Aralyn Westfall; his siblings, Archie “Sandy” Gallaher and his wife Paula, New Paris, OH, Susie Briggs, with whom he made his home in Lumberport; his aunt, Betty Bennett, Portland, OR, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special brothers, Bob Wise and his wife Alice, Lumberport, and John Hustead and his wife Janet, Reese’s Run, and their families.
Tommy was also preceded in death by his nephew, Johnny Ray, and his brother-in-law, Jerry Briggs.
He was a 1971 graduate of Lumberport High School where he was the kicker for the football team and held state records. He was formerly employed by Owen-Illinois, Heck’s Department Store, and Lumberport Shinnston Gas. Tommy loved to fish, hunt, watch NASCAR races, golf, and was an avid football fan.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 2pm until the time of the service at 7pm, Friday, December 27, with Pastor Erik Hustead officiating.
