Pamela Rae Halpenny, 71, of Lumberport, passed away at 9:50am, Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Fairmont, July 2, 1947, a daughter of the late Guy Woodrow Thompson and the late Dolores Elizabeth Sowers Thompson Trusky. On March 15, 1969, she married James Marshall Halpenny who preceded her in death on May 27, 2018. Surviving are two children, Melissa Dawn Halpenny, Shinnston, Jerry Allen Halpenny and his wife Christen, Grafton, three grandchildren, Jeremy Allen Halpenny, Lumberport, Jordan Presley Cole, Shinnston, and Courtney Brooke Halpenny, Grafton, four great grandchildren, Jace Allen Halpenny, Elijah Dean, Eliza Jade Halpenny, and Damian Boyce. She is also survived by her sister Robin Trusky-Knotts and her husband Lee, Akron, OH, two brothers, Victor Trusky and his wife Donna, Akron, OH and Ronald Trusky, Barberton, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
Pam was a loving mother and grandmother, even to many outside of her family. She was a friend to many and always willing to lend a hand to others. She was a wonderful crafter who could make or sew anything. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation services were provided. A memorial gathering will be held at Higher Rock Church, Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 10am until the time of the memorial service at noon, with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating.
