Gary N. Robey, 61, of Lumberport, passed away 12:26am, Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. He was born in Clarksburg, July 23, 1957 a son of the late Jeremiah and Helen Ayers Robey. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Hickman Robey, whom he married December 10, 1987, one daughter, Jennifer Dunlap and her companion Scott Wright, East Liverpool, OH, four grandchildren, Madison Robey, Payton Robey, Ashlynn Dunlap, Hayden Dunlap, his in-laws, Pamela Bland, Mannington, Steve Harris and his wife Linda, Lumberport, Shannon House and her husband Ken, Fairmont, his aunt, Mae Holt, and uncles, Donnie and Sonny Ayers, several nieces and nephews, his dogs, Bear and Thor and cats, Cloe and Spencer. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Brooklynn Robinson, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Carrol Hickman.
Gary was a 1975 graduate of Lumberport High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was formerly employed with Anchor Hocking, Automotive Industries, and most recently as a security officer at the Harrison Power Station. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, riding motorcycles, and muscle cars.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 3-8pm, Thursday where funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, January 25, with Pastor Robert Shingleton officiating.
