Kenny C. Payne, 75, of Little Bingamon Community, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born March 24, 1944 in Cass, WV a son of the late John H. and Nola Gay Good Payne.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret “Peggy” McCrae Payne who died October 14, 2004.
He is survived by his son, John Joseph Payne and his long-time companion, Carie of Grafton; four grandchildren, Tyler, John, Tanner, and Gabriella; his brother, Lloyd Payne of Warren, OH; his sister, Jane Palmer of Warren, OH; two sisters-in-law, Edna Rose Payne of Hill Top Community; and Charlotte Payne of St. Louis, MS; his brother-in-law, Harold Deavers of Mannington; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Kenny was preceded in death by his three brothers, John, Wayne and Earnest “Carl” Payne; and three sisters, Eleanor “Sis” Riblet; Jerry Baldwin; and Sherry Deavers; as well as his sister-in-law, Donna Payne.
Kenny graduated from Shinnston High School in 1962 and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He formerly worked for Ravens Metals in Shinnston. Kenny retired from Alcan Aluminum in Warren, OH with 33 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and the Army-Navy Garrison #283 in Warren where he served as the County Commander and the National Judge Advocate. Kenny was a devoted member of the Jewel City Church.
The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 24th at 11:00 with Pastors Robert Shingleton and Homer Ham officiating.
